Birch Annie cardigan
I freed a birch tree from a rusted scrap metal trap it had grown into. Everyone who saw it said ouch, it just looked so painful. On my past birthday I asked the mason building my bread oven to help me free the tree. It took a 50 meter extension cord and an edge grinder to get the job done. Now the tree literally has a square at its root that I hope will heal in time.
Its a tree that I hug. When the wind blows it feels like we are moving together with every breath I take. Its my tree, its in this photo. A bit of lichen, a bit of rust and a lot of love.
I knit with a combination of kid mohair, silk and cotton to make unique ombre color blends. This sweater has just a touch of gold and silver lurex starlight knit in. The sweater ends up very light weight, yet fluffy and warm. Perfect for travelling, it easily compacts and travels well.
This is an oversize one size fits all look. I am modelling here, and I am very very tall, size M (US), L (EU). This will be much longer on you, more like a coat that will elegantly cover everything and leave your legs looking slender.
